Although PRP has healing factors that have the ability to repair meniscal tears, no study has been specifically focused on its use for meniscus tears, until now. Several patients with MRI-documented meniscal tears that received treatment with PRP, reported symptom improvement and return to everyday activity as well as to athletic sports. PRP treatment should be considered as a first treatment option prior to meniscectomy. |
