Yet another Major League Baseball player gets the PRP Treatment done. Rafael Furcal, shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was the latest athlete to have the therapy done.
Rafael Furcal received a platelet rich plasma injection in his strained left hamstring on Thursday. Dodgers manager Joe Torre said Furcal was not available to pinch hit on Thursday night, but could be available off the bench on Friday. “I think we’ll have to wait and see how it goes the next couple days,” said Torre. “We’re not going to out there an have him play shortstop unless he’s ready. It’s not like being a DH.” Jamey Carroll started at shortstop on Thursday.
More to come when we find out how it worked.
