Some docs use prp to treat symptoms of cartilage loss but there is no evidence that prp will slow down cartilage loss or stimulate cartilage growth. Prp combined with stem cells may hold promise for this in the future. In the meantime the treatment is just symptomatic. Viscosupplementation injections can also be helpful. |
